1. বিশ্রাম: মাপার কমপক্ষে ৫ মিনিট আগে শান্তভাবে বসুন। মাপার ৩০ মিনিট আগে কফি, চা, ধূমপান বা ব্যায়াম করা থেকে বিরত থাকুন।

2. অবস্থান: চেয়ারে সোজা হয়ে বসুন, পা মেঝেতে সমতল রাখুন (পা ক্রস করবেন না)।

3. হাত: আপনার বাহু (যে হাতে মাপবেন) টেবিলের উপর এমনভাবে রাখুন যাতে কাফটি আপনার হৃদয়ের স্তরের সমান হয়।

4. পোশাক: কাফটি সরাসরি আপনার খালি ত্বকের উপর পরুন। কাপড়ের উপর দিয়ে মাপলে ভুল ফলাফল আসতে পারে।
